Garlic flavour.

Just experiment - garlic powder is readily available as too is garlic salt! and we all know salt is an attractor! try something new!

I've got the answer Mark ! Garlic clove marinated in crushed maggots !!!!!!

Sounds the dogs danglies :)...perhaps if it were drizzled with salmon oil, dusted with squid powder, with just a tiny pinch of chilli, then popped under a grill for 5 minutes. That has to work :D:D:D

Cheers, Dave.

Hi Mark,

It is , as you say, amazingly cheap....certainly worth a look!

I have now contacted these people to try to find out exactly what percentage of the stuff they sell is in fact pure garlic powder...the customer feed back rating on the product on their site is only 2.5 stars out of 5, so it needs investigating. I will let you know any results.

Cheers, Dave.

Thats not the actual 1 i use Dave but mine does state 100% pure garlic and it does pack a punch, I prefer the powder to oils for coating meat as you can give the meat a good coating all over the bait without over powering, I'v also mixed some betaine into mine aswell. I only use the oils in a boilie mix in small amounts.

Mark,

When I used the garlic essential oil, it was one to two drops per six egg mix. Depending on other ingredients, I sometimes added a similar amount of black pepper EO as well. Can be stunning in the right base (mind you, that was when I was carping :D)

Cheers, Dave.

Hey mark , i was up your way on Wednesday fluff chucking on the Usk , what a beautiful stretch of river it is ! I had 4 brownies , all returned to fight another day !

Some very good fishing to be had on the Usk James, some nice water between Abergavenny and Usk, its where it all began for me catching Chub and Dace, there are even Barbel to be caught now.
