Fry and this weather.

Well at least if most have us have downed tools for a bit, we can take some consolation from the number of fry there are in our Rivers at the moment. I live near a little River (Swillgate) in Tewkesbury, every day the dogs have a swim in this River, and occasionally I can see the fry, the other day I must have observed 100's of all species including Trout Parr, and dare I say some very Barbel looking babies. Today it was the turn of the Roach fry, and of course the obligatory Perch waiting just waiting...

So every cloud chaps, should be a good year for recruitment.

Hope you're right Neil ! but i'm not downing tools just changing them, i'm going to fish for Roach.

Summer of 76 was a bumper year for fry survival and this led to some fantastic catches of specimens for years after. This is as close to 76 since so hopefully we will see the benefits
