Fox Kevlar specialist 12ft multi tip rod.

Hi.

Was wondering if anyone has had any fishing experience using these rods?

I've got one, but never used it...

It's the same Kevlar blank colour as the barbel version black green chequered colour.

The 3 top sections from memory are 0.5lb & 0.7lb twin top section, with a 0.6lb quiver section with light quivers rating from 1oz to 3oz I think.

Looked at it last night thinking about taking it out for some chubbing on the Thames, but it seemed such a light rod for the medium sized river and feeders of 50g range?

Any thoughts please?

I think it would be ideal for that use, they have a bit of a cult following , and are a very good blank.
If you don't use it , I wouldn't hesitate to sell on here , as it has many fans...

I have one and love it! Use it for chub/perch on the Ouse, quite often use it with a small cage feeder or black cap (40g??) mostly underarm swings but doubt it will have problems in longer casts. TBH I love the Kevlar and Kevlex rods, very versatile and just lovely to play fish on. IMO there was a very small window of time in the late 90s when Fox made sublime rods
If you ever wish to sell it let me know I’d love a pair 😂

I agree as you say that small window of time when fox did fantastic rods!

I like the look of the ones I've got, not used them as I mentioned, got them years ago and don't look like they've ever been used!

Brought them for investments if I'm honest.... But will gave to use them before I sell or I may regret it 😊👍

The Kevlar barbels still fetch good money but the specialist version is very sought after and you rarely see one listed. Personally I also rate the Barbel specials/avon specialist (green blanks )
