Looks like some great Barbel weather on its way.
Always makes me think of " A Quest For Barbel." It always seemed to be strong winds and heavy rain when Trefor West & Tony Miles were out there.

I had a red letter session last Friday when it was mild, chucking it down and blowing a gale.
The river was up and a steady temperature.
I had 7 barbel in an hour twenty then 3 more later on. I returned later and it was completely different conditions..Full moon clear sky and no wind at all!..The Barbel were no longer feeding!
At least not in my swim!

I have an overnight session planned for next Wednesday should be fining down nicely with the heavy rain we had yesterday, more to come today and Monday. I have fingers & toes crossed (not easy that ) for a really good session.

Had some real rain in last couple of days and the Yorkshire rivers are up by a decent amount for the first time this season. So will be out with enthusiasm today.

Spot on, Mark. When the pressure's falling they'll be on the feed for definite. I had some really great sessions on the Dove during the storms in Feb 2020. Difficult but rewarding conditions.
