Folding landing nets

I was so impressed I bought 2 Mike, have one as a spare!.
Also after many years my super specialist pole needed replacing as the the carbon had worn down with so much use over time.
I have to say whilst initially impressed, the twist lock mechanism soon gave up on this and I replaced the collar insert 3 times over time and still was rubbish pretty much after a couple of seasons use.
I replaced it with the tackle box version and added a bit of shrink wrap to the bottom of the handle, have to say for half the price of the Drennan, its arguably better built.
The twist lock is far more substantial but has only had a seasons use so far but it still works as new.
Paired with the Dinsmore net ( I replaced a Drennan specialist 36" which was garbage, way to shallow) in my view is the perfect light, robust combo.

Completely agree re; the Tackle Box handle. It just feels right!
 
Hi been searching for a replacement river mesh for ages, how big is the mesh? How deep is the 36 inch mesh, go on Steve, buy one so I can have a look at it! Currently using a korum 36 inch, mesh size good, but only about 24 inches deep, so not deep enough to rest fish in.
 
Still on the search for net perfection - have just bitten the bullet and bought both the 32 & 36 Darenth Valley Specialist nets (and spreader blocks) from the Tackle box after advice on here - will get some photos up to compare with my 'other' net collection if required but these do have a very pleasing 'bow' shape if nothing else!

Although the glass arms (not carbon) make the nets heavier than others I'd say the 32 is a good size for general river fishing / big chub / tench / barbel - the net is arguably a little shallow for retention but doable. The 36 is a tad bigger and good for bigger barbel / carp to low 20's and the mesh is deeper - so now I've added more confusion as to which to take and whether I'm feeling lucky or not!

Hi Chris
Please can you take a photo of the 36inch mesh size with a 5p for reference as to how big it is and please can you measure the depth - still searching for the perfect net!
