Float rods

I used the Mark Tunley rod all last summer for barbel , trotting floats in 6-10g range in very fast deeper runs on the Wye and found it an absolute pleasure to use , at no time did it feel uncomfortable or undergunned , it was as gold with chub to over 6lb on trotted meat and having my biggest float caught barbel at 12.6 I am well impressed with the rod , it was nice to have a rod that had the backbone to be able to net the fish without worrying if the tip would break ( having had a new FS Barbel Tamer Float tip snap in 2 places when trying to net a barbel in the same swim the season before ) but then its what you feel comfortable with
