Fladen Waders

Looking for a reasonable priced pair of breathable chest waders - prob only use them 6 to 10 times a year max.

I want a cleated boot - alot are £150+ (snowbee etc) - looking at a pair of fladen at about £60 - any experience or views good or bad.

not looking for neoprenes!

cheers

46, but i got cheap daiwa ones now.
and TBH i will only wear them about 10 times a season, i can afford £200 quid, but what a waste.

that is exactly my reasoning - but keep going back to the snowbee ones - whether I take a gamble on a cheaper breathable pair such as Fladen

Chris, have a look at the Bison waders on ebay. £100 for breathable wader with wading boots, I know from previous threads on here that they are worth the money.

Thanks Stuart

BUT is it not a false economy doing that as I would have to replace the wading boots every couple/few years would't I?

I don't know really. They do the wadings boots at about £30 a pair which if you are only using them a few times a year are going to last quite a while I would think. I was looking at the waders with the bearclaw boots which are neoprene construction and Probably bomb proof.
I am a bit like yourself and can't really justify spending a couple of hundred pounds on kit that will be little used but could probably justify these.

Cheers,

Stu

But Stuart - I am sure I read somewhere that the boots (prob not all of them) tend to rot being so wet for so long - prob the more expensive ones wont.

so many choices.............
