After all - some rights (Squatters) are just amazingly sided with Joe public.

We will see a lot more of this. Private equity and the bankers made themselves very rich, but trashed the economy and were bailed out by the tax payer. Now we have the spending cuts, a lot of which is born by local government, hence the sale of these kind of assets. Quite rightly the Torries need to balance the books, make sure bankers can still pay themselves huge bonuses, and that the well off continue to prosper.
I am not sure why, but it is what the majority wanted. Democracy!
