Last night I went to watch Sir David Attenborough's new film "Ocean" which was showing at our local cinema.
Put quite simply, it's a thought provoking, sobering film that I think Barbel Forum members would like to watch.
Without giving too much away, it shows the interaction between humans, the seas and the animals that live in the sea.
No surprises that some humans don't come out of this story covered in glory!
All of us are aware of the interaction between water, fish and us. We know about pollution and the need to preserve and cherish fish stocks. I am amazed at the lack of common sense with some commercial fishing concerns.
Again, without spoiling it for any of you, krill fishing is on a massive industrial scale (krill being essential for life in the high seas) I for one now question whether I actually NEED krill pellets in my bait bag. My decision after watching this film is to stop buying them.
Anyway, get down to your local cinema, grab some popcorn and watch this film from a remarkable 99 year old.
