Drennan specialist rods

Have a Drennan power Barbel twin tip 1.75lb + 2.2lb same green colour blank lovely playing action with loads of power in the butt was my favourite rod until bob built me a new one. 😁
Yeah I was hoping against all hope he'd might want to build 2 Torrix 1.25's for me, but now just going to probably save my money and go for the old drennans, for if I'm honest & the price factored in, you can't go wrong.
Funnily enough other than the Freespirit rods which I've had some big fish on, all my other PB fish species, have fallen to the drennans.

Going back to the original post on this thread and my initial reply. In the end I sold my Drennan Twin Tip 11ft Duo, and replaced it with one of these:

It was originally recommended by a mate, who assured me that it wasn't over gunned, in fact he used it for Roach fishing on the Ribble and in addition he uses the avon top when live baiting for Perch. I've used the rod several times now for Chub and I really like it. Another bonus is all the original quiver tips from my now vintage Drennan Super Specialist Duo rods fit it, including my preferred 1.8 oz glass tip.

Hi All
Thanks for reviving this thread!
I have a pair of Shimano Technicium rods which I brought from new, so about 16 - 18 years old,
, well loved, but well used,, but the last few seasons not been used so thinking of seeking them at some point soon, also a Shimano Technicium float rod so watch this space - but would be collection only as the last rod I posted arrived with the tip ring/rod top broken.
Please PM me if interested
Regards
Wayne
