Drennan rod spares - what are the chances?

Hi all.

I've managed to break the quiver section of my Drennan Medium feeder 11ft 6 combo rod - the part that the push in quiver tips to in to. It's obviously an older rod, not the matchpro, but I was wondering if anyone had tried to get any spare sections from Drennan and how to go about it?

Beginning to think these rods are cursed, I managed to leave the original rod bag with extension and 3 quiver tips on the bank the first time I used the rod!

Even when rods are obsolete if other people haven’t taken the last of the spares then there is a good chance your part may still be in stock. It’s definitely gotta be worth a phone call.

Whenever I’ve contacted Drennan about rod spares they’ve told me to go through a shop.

Like Drennan gear, dislike their after sales. Tried them for tips and a replacement DRX top section, no good at all. Perhaps the only route is ebay?

Ok well that’s obviously just the supply chain but it’s not a big deal. A lot of companies don’t deal directly.
Contact a drennan distributor and ask them to make the call for you on their behalf. I wouldn’t hold back on making a few calls Adam just because you think it may lead no where. Pick up the blower mate. I got a carry section through angling direct for a fox duo lite that was long obsolete. They made the call and there was 1 in old stock.
The forum can’t predict the outcome mate you’ll need to get on the blower.

I picked a replacement tip section for a Drennan float rod through my local tackle shop, no problem. Took about a week.

Same as guy, went through my tackle shop and new section there in a few days.

I went through the direct route when i needed some spare rings for a super specialist duo, and then a rod bag for the same...... and have always found them very obliging and helpful.

when the anti-reverse switch broke on one if their reels they replaced the whole body straight away when I contacted them about it
