Drennan net heads.

I’ve gone back to a spoon now and really don’t see me using these any more. I have decided I don’t like triangles and could do with being a bit bigger for the fish I’ve been catching.
They are both Drennan
We have the drennan 24 inch super specialist net head with Aluminium frame. The first day I used this it was so soft it literally bent straight away with hardly any force at all. Hollow thin walled D section is no good whatsoever for specimen fishing. I then sleeved both sides with a 6mm long stainless rod which has transformed it into a slightly heavier but extremely strong net. So strong that you could dead lift a 7lb fish if need be and it wouldn’t bend.
The second is a specimen triangle 32 inch. I’ve used this a few times and it’s like brand new I’ve not needed to mod this one as the carbon rods are very strong. This one rolls up and fits in a quiver. I regret buying it because I just don’t like it. I don’t like triangle nets to be fair. It’s not actually much bigger than the 24 inch one despite the fact it’s a 32. I’ve had barbel resting in it at over 13lb and it’s fine but wouldn’t want much bigger in it really. This cost a small fortune at £42 a couple months ago.
So two really strong nets that will handle specimen fish. Perfect for the Wye, seven, kennet, Swale etc where the fish are likely to be under 11lb.
They go as as pair and I’d prefer collecting.
£40 Ono.
