Drennan esox piker rod

Has anybody tried the esox piker rod for barbel as it has similar sort of tc, I was wandering whether the play action would be similar to a 12'?

The 10' version is more suited to stopping trains than barbel. :D
 
Used it on the teme for a season, not bad in very tight swims but lacks the length sometimes to gain control of the fish. I used the 8ft 1.75tc
