Drennan 1.5lb Barbel rod

Hi guys,

Thinking of getting the 1.5lb Drennan Barbel rod for the new season.

I'm fishing the W.Avon at Barton, 1.5lb is more than enough, right?

What sort of weights would you cast? I've been fishing leads and feeders up to 3oz on the Guru 1.75 speci rods.

I use a dark carbon 1.5tc it’s best with 40-50gm loaded feeders which on the smaller rivers I fish is fine for normal summer flows
