cheers jamie

After a bit of a flash flood on my local River Tees on Thursday (up 7-8m in places!), it was fining down nicely today with still a couple of foot of water. Unfortunately, it was down to -4C last night, and i was completely unsuccesful.

Il come back to this thread after Iv been tomorrow lol.

Well i am stuggling but a mate has had 5 so far in December, only 1 double though

Had 2 on my last full session but no doubles a 7lb 1oz and a 7lb 14oz , am out for full session friday but forecast for week is high winds and bit of rain and friday very stormy

Iv had 3 barbel in December and jynxed myself today, not a good weekend for me lost a carp Friday and lost a barbel today on a stretch where Iv not blanked in about 3 month until today on my local managed to temp one but lost it due to the fish swimming towards me and striking into it pulled the hook out, but I did recall when I last blanked the river was up a foot same as today and rose another inch though out the day, but we can't win them all and that makes it a little more special and gets me thinking, WHAT IF??
Regards

I am not willing to even try on my club river at the moment because I don't hold with still water barbeling :p

Having said that, it has rained a little down here in the 'sarf'' today, so I have everything crossed....except my lines of course :D

Cheers, Dave.

I won't be wasting my time on the Swale in the near future (good luck to the hardy souls that do). It's up and down like a whore's drawers, snow melt the lot. Combine that with gale force winds coinciding with my days off and I think I'll stay in bed. Perhaps I'll have to brave the Trent at some point but I suspect I'll save my pennies. Missing one trip to the Trent could buy me at least part of something new and shiny!;):D

had loads of rain here yesterday and forecast is for light to moderate showers most days this week so river might have some colour and more flow on friday but as Chris says high winds but since only 30 mins from stretch then will at least venture out and have a look

Yes December brings its charms like empty banks and 5m plus of flood on the Ouse like Saturday :

I tell you what, sometimes you need praising for just being there. You dont need to be catching fish in conditions like that, you can be considered a true fisherman by just braving it out.
