Do Barbel go off baits

Most have the Tulip brand on the tin somewhere.

Spam, spam in the two sized tins they make has got a lot softer , but have noticed the other Plumrose varietys are not to the fore front of shops like Bm stores, even though they are made by the same company from the same country. A cocktail of uncooked just defrosted tiger prawn / meat has worked for me the combinations are endless, isn't that what makes fishing so interesting .

Had many Carp on Prawn and even more Perch. Along with Maggots, Prawn is a killer bait on the Chichester canal.

If anyone has a cupboard full of garlic spam I'd just like to tell them that yes, all the barbel in England have definitely gone off it. It just doesn't work any more. Thank goodness they've stopped making it or we'd all be wasting our money.

So I'll take it off your hands for let's say 50p a can and I'm sure I'll eventually find a use for it.

Deal?

Having done little barbel fishing in the last couple of years, I do have a cupboard full of the original Stinky French Garlic Spam. Unfortunately, I don't believe that all the barbel in England have gone off it. It's staying firmly where it is so that it's there when I need it.;):)

I think you have failed to appreciate the dangers of your chosen course of actions here Chris. I am reliably informed that storing the original Stinky French Garlic Spam' for any length of time can have catastrophic results for those living anywhere much above a line through Watford, Herts.

It seems that the atmosphere in more Northern climes affects the tins, and the contents, causing massive explosions of previously unheard of ferocity. I gather that an articulated lorry load of this product has been sent to president Putin as a gift, with instructions to store it in his cellar ;)

The point is, I have always had a kindly and helpful nature, so though I do worry that occasional tins may explode even this far south, it will be with far less damaging results, so I have decided I am willing to take that risk, considering your kindnesses to me in the past. So, just send it to me by courier, and I will store it for you. I know, I know....unbelievably generous, I just can't help myself.

Cheers, Dave.

Sorry, Dave, i think you have it totally wrong. Here in West Sussex below the Southdowns we have a much lower atmosphere pressure than in Bucks also due to our cleaner air quality the Stinky French Garlic spam has less of a chance of exploding whilst kept in a dark cupboard. One other plus is my wife is French and she knows how to handle these tins. She has been trained by her old mother who was trained by her mother. Stinky French Garlic spam must be kept sealed in a dark place along with Stinky French Cheese, which. we have an abundance of. So you can see the spam will be safe with us more than Dave
