Nothing is new, I have a vague memory of Westy mentioning this yonks ago. In fact this is exactly the sort of thing which used to be discussed on these boards in the early days when I used to lurk from the public library before I had an internet connection at home.

Or you could simply just enjoy catching any fish that comes along and the barbel you catch will be a bonus.....
