Derby Railway Angling Club

I am thinking of joining Derby Railway Angling Club as they seem to have some good stretches or the Trent and Dove

Any advice on this club would be appreciated as I have never fished the Trent or Dove

Peter,
I have been a member for years, the Trent in my opinion is better than the Dove as the Dove gets more heavily fished and the Tutbury stretch for me anyway is to far to walk.
16 miles of the Trent a lot of it untouched.
Please feel free to contact me.

Hey Peter , I used to be a member and concentrated mainly on the swarkestone area , it had huge shoals of roach in the autumn and plenty of big chub during the colder months , and i mustnt forget some huge Perch ! I used to head there at every opportunity until i moved out of the area ! well worth a look at i think !!

Might be worth having a look back at Paul's web page here.

Have a look back at the fishing diaries, they mainly fish the Trent & Dove DRAC stretches.

Plenty of the Trent hardly fished, I don't think it's been fishing as well as it was five years ago but it's not expensive and no joining fee.

DRAC is a good club only downsides are that you can't night fish any of their waters apart from the Trent which you can only night fish if you pay an extra £15. This year I've decided to join BMAA instead as i found leaving the Dove stretch just as it was getting dark infuriating. I mainly fish evenings so this basically ruled out fishing the dove for half of the year.
(Not everyone follows the rules diligently though)
