My vote goes to the Free Spirit Seeker...

IMO Harrison blanks are far superior. They are designed with a blend of carbon not just HT all the way. They fish fantastically. It has, due to the design a progressive action. Enough power to cast a decent weight but a forgiving softer side that won't pull hooks or crack you off under the rod end. The heavier 2lb TC tip also fits if you feel the need later.

My advice take the reel you intend using and try it on both and see how they balance

Went for the free sprit barbel seeker, found it crisper and more powerful than the torrix, one mans meat etc i suppose

The Torrix is a beautiful rod, especially when hand made by some of he craftsmen such as Bob, Ian Tucker and Mark T (sorry if I missed someone out). I have two a 1.75 and a lighter 1.5 in 12 foot. A number of my fishing mates have the same, no complaints.

Or a few more Harrisons:
12' 1.5, 1.75, 2.0 and 2.25 Multicarp
12' 1.5 and 1.75 Specialist
12' 1.75 Interceptor
Plus some others.

Hi David
its made by Harrision so i would guess its on the torrix blank as i have a torrix made by somebody else and they are so simpler i cant tell them apart i have the long handle version and its a lovely rod to use
