My elderly parents have retired to West Sussex. When visiting them later in the summer I'd love to try the Rother or maybe Arun for a barbel. Anyone know of any good day ticket stretches?
I see Pulborough have stopped doing day tickets for the Arun, and I notice Worthing Piscatorials do issue DT's for their tidal stretches above Arundel , but I'm assuming they're not as barbelly as a bit further up the river?
EDIT - OK, I finally found this thread off BFW from a few years back. Sounds like tough fishing, but Houghton Bridge is almost walkable across the Downs from where my folks live. Might give it a go if I get no better recommendations:
