I said id never ever sell this rod and I’m eating my words now. I’ve just added 2 rods into my float collection over the last week that sit on either side of this on the power scale and as good as this rod really is, I’ve just made it redundant really.
It is nothing less than astonishing to fish with at either length. Really well balanced in the hand and such a fantastic stick float rod especially at 15ft.
To describe its action it’s very “spectron” like really fast tip section that blends into a beautiful power curve when a big fish starts to pull back.
The action is genuinely beautiful at both 13 and 15 feet.
Typical high end daiwa with such a big window for line ratings at 2-8lb.
The soft fast tip makes bit bashing with light lines and hook lengths a real pleasure yet you can thread it up with 6-8lb main line for a big chub, barbel or light carp aswell. The rod can do it all brilliantly.
It’s the latest version of the spectron models made in the competition range and it’s in absolutely immaculate fully original complete condition.
Top spec Fuji alconite high stand off guides, Fuji screw down Seat and A grade cork with diawas armlock cork. Way over £300 when new.
While the rod is near mint and being absolutely taken care of there is no rod bag unfortunately. I’ve been keeping it in another one which I’ll be keeping. You’ll have to get one or band it and store it carefully.
Rare very versatile top end daiwa rod that could potentially be the only float rod you’d ever need.
Price is firm at £175
