Daiwa`s new emcast br reels

Bought a couple of the Emcast in the 4000 size, agree with previous posters a very good reel. Now the but! If you buy these watch out for the line getting trapped where the bail arm joins the section with the roller in, I frequently find the line trapping here and due to damage have to re-tackle, today after casting out to the far side of the river (Trent) and having to drag the whole lot back by hand as the line actually parted. Now resorting to tape and glue over the joint.

Tape and Glue Can you not take them back, or contact Daiwa and get a refund ?

They sound great reels , just what you need to be doing every cast

Didn't need the tape, gap filled with super glue and a coat of the wife's clear nail varnish. Not sure how long it will last, hopefully this week and then will take back to tackle shop. Have the smaller Diawa Regal Z and looks like the same method of fixing the bail arm but never had a problem with this, the quality of the fit is much better though.
