Daiwa Powermesh Barbel 2.75lb TC

After the recent high water levels we have been experiencing I have run up against the limitations of my Korum 2.2lb expert rods. I have seen a second hand Daiwa powermesh 2.75lb barbel rod for sale. I am looking to cast a 6-8oz feeder/bomb up to 30yds using 15lb mainline. Can anyone recommend these rods or suggest an alternative. Thinking laterally I wondered if a light spod rod may fit the bill, i.e. tippy but with plenty of backbone??

WONDERFUL RODS !!! I use a pair for when my Fox Duo lite 2.25 wont cut it but to be honest they have such a wonderful action I cant stop using them
also The bailiff of my club bought a pair while he had his beloved Drennan rods rebuilt and has said the Daiwa Powermesh specialist Barbel 12` 2.75lb
are the best rods he has ever had and probably wont go back to his old Drennan specialist rods

I have a pair of the daiwa power mesh 2.75 as discussed they are great rods I don't know about casting 6 or8 oz feeders/leads but they handle4/5 oz easy enough and the playing action is superb. If you have the chance to get one second hand I would go for it.

Thanks for your input lads. I had a return trip over the weekend in slightly less extreme conditions and the korums coped well with the conditions this time. I think my initial post was a bit of a knee jerk reaction to me struggling in some very high water conditions. In retrospect I probably would have struggled what ever rod I was fishing... Having said that if the money fairy arrives at Xmas I may well be in the shops having a waggle!
