daiwa infinity rods

thinking of getting a infinity 1.75 tc rod could it handle 5 to 6 oz feeders as every time ive been to the wye last season its been 3 to 4ft up thanks

thanks for your views still looking for more info on these rods. so they would
handle 4 oz feeders ok ? as i think the 2.25 tc would be to heavy

A mate of mine has one of the 2.25 and he loves it, so much he has sold me his Torrix;) Send him a pm, he'll tell you more;) Ian Galt.

I have a couple of mates who swear by them and I have a picture of one of them with the rod in full compression flinging a 4oz feeder into the far bank barbel hole on the Horsefield. These are a couple of unsung anglers who regularly land between 3 and 5 hundred barbel a year each from rivers all over the country so they should know what they are doing.

I have the 1.75 Infinity which I use for summer big fish or winter fishing. The only time I've felt under-gunned was on a SERIOUSLY flooded Wye. I no longer use feeders for barbel fishing, so can't comment in that context.
What line strength do you intend to use? and what size barbel are you liable to encounter? which river? and will this be your only barbel rod?

Ive got both the 1.75 and a 2.25. I use the 1.75 mostly, but would recommend the 2.25 if you are legging that type of weight any distance. I use the 2.25 in floodwater conditions and catching fish at 4lb it didnt feel overgunned.

i use xtea 5000 reels with ten pound daiwa sensor on daiwa twlights at present
but also have 4 korum rods 2 x quivers and 2 x twintops most of my fishing is on the wye and taff
