Custom Angling Solutions

I've tried most options and so long as the line doesn't get trapped they all do the job
I think I have Delkim EV-Ds with snag arms on my barbel set-up. I try not to use the alarm audible function, but comes in handy if you're night fishing, need to take your eye off the rods to tie some rigs etc
I'm more concerned about butt grips. We all forget to engage the BR at some point and I thinks it's almost a right of passage to catch a rod mid air as an angry fish tears off with £500 worth of gear., and it's normally the smaller ones.

I use the ESP butt grips , get the largest one , it holds the cork handle nice n tight

Butt grips I use the jag ones can’t fault them
Again used a lot but go back to Solar P1s which i got in a carp job lot. Never let me down. Can bend them back into shape, re-tighten them, don't damage the cork etc..but most importantly keep hold of the rod!
I did buy some of the fancy magnetic ones from New Direction for pike fishing( more to do with consistent placement of drop-offs).

I wondered if they would work for barbel - should do as designed for snag fishing for big carp?
My mate has bet me a tenner I won't dare use them and if I do it will end in tears. and if it ain't broke....
Very nearly lost a rod to a wels catfish earlier this year. Bites were few and far between and very finicky then just as all hope was lost and In my head we're going home , rod is on my lap one second, flying through the air the next. Pure instinct saved the day.
