Combi rig knot.

Which knot do you guys use to connect the fluro to the braid on a combi rig or would I be better off using a micro swivel and my existing knots that I have confidence with to connect the two ?

I use the Albright knot .. and superglue .

I also mould a bit of metal putty around the knot if I’m not sliding a pva bait parcel down to the hook

Also use Drennan gravel braid as my hook section .

I cringed ever so slightly when I read that. Doesn't superglue melt flurocarbon?

I used combi-rigs for carp a while back and I tied Korda braid (1”) to 19lb Soft -plus Fluoro with an improved albright knot. I put a minute dot of superglue on each knot - I didn’t want it to seep into the flexible section.

I never had a breakage and landed fish to over 40lb - so I can’t see a problem.

if you tie an Albright knot correctly you will have a 90% braid knot that you apply a slight dab of superglue to if you wish .
