It is a well recognized fish that comes off the TT, often at Collingham. My mate had it at 16.4 last season but has been out much heavier at the back end, sometimes at Sutton. Well done Paul.

Looks the same fish the Balif told me it’s known has red spot to them all I have friend who’s seen it just under 20lb in winter time

Firstly, congratulations to the captors of both of these impressive Tidal Trent barbel. I think it likely however that they aren’t the same fish. The tail of the fish in John’s image is very distinctive and not like the one in the boat shot. The position of the red blemish also appears to be different on the two fish. If my feeling is correct, that means two colossal fish, not one. No bad thing in these days of diminishing numbers.
