Close Season Boredom: "sinking" braid

Yes of course Graham. I may struggle with a depth of 30ft, but was thinking of converting our fairly deep family bath into a mini river system. I was even thinking of popping to the local fish shop to get some weed/gravel etc and plastic fish. I could then fill the bath with rain water and submerge some safe device that would create a sort of flow and at various speeds. I enthusiastically mentioned this to my wife who gave me a look I last saw when she found me asleep in a shopping trolley at the bottom of the garden wearing ladies undergarments. She must be OK about though as she immediately turned round and said she was off to sort out my barbel rods. Which is kind of her.
