Due to a change in work circumstances over the last week, I’ve had to take stock of some of the collection I have built up from people on here and elsewhere I really need to thin out what won’t be used and get back some money to buffer the change.

All the tip rings of the following rods have been replaced with the best possible match anti frap rings by a professional rod builder.

Shakespeare Boron Mach 2 13 foot with ring liners good condition shows it age in some areas but overall good - £50

Shakespeare Boron Mach 2 12 foot without ring liners good condition to mint

Daiwa power mesh pms12 mint with original bag

Daiwa power mesh Pms12 good with non original bag, and a repair to one of the wippings and replaced matching bottom eye

Daiwa power mesh Pms11 good condition with adapted Daiwa bag a repair has been done to the bottom section as was not a nice fit when I bought it this was professionally cut about 5 mm and re whipped by the tackle box DARTFORD.

Drennan Tench Float in good to mint condition, with original bag and tube few little marks in the varnish but not major hence not all out mint.

Drennan leger master in good overall condition with original bag - £50

All rods are more than useable cleaned and loved, they’re being sold for what I paid for them or less.

Preferred collection from Orpington area will post at cost to the buyer at around 16 pound ups

Still some Gems left, will take offers, but not silly ones :D

Hi Daniel

The 11ft Powermesh arrived today. Cracking rod mate. Very pleased with the purchase and the quick service.

All the best
Mick

More than glad you are happy with it and it’s gone to a good home.

Dan

Hi Kevin, no word of a lie, you will struggle to find a better Avon rod than an original mk1 power mesh. I’m gutted I didn’t see Dans ad before he sold the 11footer cos I’d of had that.

They are sensationally light, responsive and have an action so lovely that playing any size fish on one is nothing less than awesome.

They don’t do a twin tip in the mk1 version and to be fair I don’t think it needs it. You’ll register any worthwhile bite on the Avon top no problem. The rated test curve is 1.25lb and the action is slow and very through.

Hi Richard, thanks for the advice. Im looking for a rod that is soft enough to register the bites of shy chub but with enough backbone / leverage to prevent that last dive under your feet that the bigger fish always seem to have left in them. I bought an acolyte plus 11 foot feeder which is a beautiful little chub rod but just too soft in the butt to apply sufficient pressure and I have been undone by large chub, maybe I should have bought it in 12 ft . I thought the twin tip specialist would fit the bill. I have just managed to buy a pair of original specialist 2.75 for my heavy work when I go on the Trent in high water and have a pair of 1.75 seekers for general Barbel fishing.

Last two rods price drop.

Drennan leger master in good overall condition with original bag - £50

Daiwa power mesh Pms12 good with non original bag, and a repair to one of the wippings and replaced matching bottom eye

Postage included
