Chlorine Tablets

Dose any one know if these tablets can be used for river water to make it drinkable??. I'm trying to save my self carry bottles of water on a long walk along a river bank.

That looks good Clive. When it says 100lt capacity do you think that means it'll clean 100lt of water before you need to replace it??

Its not so much that you cant treat river water to drink, but why on earth would you want too?..Absulutely stupid and a pointless excercise..

i was alweays bvoiling water from lakes and rivers until one time i spent 2 days doubled up in pain in a bush with the trots, now i never drink anything but bottled water when fishing, be sure, be safe

Go and look at your nearest sewage outlet before you decide. I would rather be thirsty.

Bottle of water and a small flask in the summer with extra water and a brew kit in the car if needed. Kelly kettle in the winter or for nights. It's a morale thing you know.

Read the small print. Some of those filters cannot keep out typhus and a few other nasties.
