Centrepin Handles

I recently bought a centrepin on ebay without any handles and I would like to fit some as sticking my finger in the holes whilst playing a barbel doesn't really appeal.

The reel has 2 holes (approx 2.5mm) drilled which allow for handles to be fitted.

Anyone know where I could get a pair of handles?

make some yourself out wood dowling
 
Hi Neil if you know who made the reel . Get in touch with them and they might be able to supply you with some new handles . Got be be worth a try

Try the Mill Tacle company, 01527 853438. They do centrepin repairs, and carry a stock of spare parts. Hope this helps.

Mick's advice is sound - Gary Mills at Mill Tackle is a top bloke and he will sort you out no problem. Better still pop in and see him if you are in the area.

holes in the front ,no handles sounds like a stanton ,fitting handles souldn't be a problem ,if you cant do it yourself ,then garry mills would be the logical choice ,those kingpin handles look nice though ,ok not as cheap as they would be if made in china ,but they're made in the uk by craftsmen .but if it gets the job done and increases your enjoyment of using the reel ,then its worth it
 
Thanks for all you replies -some more useful than others.

I bought this pin because it is very rare and rarely comes up for sale and I knew that I could get some handles from somewhere - I have had work done by Gary Mills on another centrepin of mine in the past and very good he is too.

As a temporary measure I have fitted a pair of handles off a Marco Cortesi centrepin but they are not ideal.

Give Stuart a call at Kingpin. He's got a huge variety of centrepin handles in all sorts of colours and materials.
