I've had several people suggest that I show a few different centrepin reels, true pins, ballrae pins etc and the differences so this is the first short video for anyone interested. I'll make another one on a different reel soon.

Ian I know you’re going to be covering float fishing mostly but could you find the time to show some casting methods for using leads when legering? I’m particularly finding it troublesome when casting at distance using light bombs 1/2oz and less but have no problems with 1oz leads and above Tia mate

Hi Ian.

Just come across your post after a good mate of mine on here told me to have a look.

I'd definitely be interested, I'd like to see as mentioned above, various methods used etc.

I'd like to see barbel & chub legering tactics with pins primarily, and maybe an introduction (for younger viewers & ones that never used one before) in to why a certain pin would be better for legering and others for trotting & you thoughts on that front within the upload. Casting/rig tutorials especially for the younger viewers, might encourage a wider viewing audience for yourself.

I think it'll be a great little channel to run with for a while. I could link it to various clubs that I belong to as well.

Hey Jim, to be honest the cast is pretty much the same one as with the float, but eventually I will do some light legering , freeling vids, but that will be in future .

Always wondering why they put the metal plate next to the handle on the Fred reel, to enhance the spin I assume?

You mean the 1915, yes, it's a belter.

The brass plates hold the handles on the FJT reel.
