The ship inn at highley has a small field just by the pub for your sort of accommodation, day ticket fishing and your about 50 yards from the river mate, bert the bailiff will sort you out £6 a day

Thanks for the info, I’ll have a look at those I do get to the tidal fairly frequently (for me) usually on the collingham stretches

On the subject of motorhomes; I went with a friend to look at some yesterday. There was barely any stock, new or used. He decided on what hs wanted and I asked the sales person how long it would take for delivery if he ordered from the factory. All the 2022 production is already sold. They had two new vehicles on the forecourt, two in the pipeline and no more until 2023. Covid has hit production and the French are buying new motorhomes instead of flying abroad for holidays. Same in England reportedly.

We went back to our house. I did a bit of googling and found a new one for sale at a place two hours away. Three hours later my friend was €56,000 lighter in the wallet.

If any motorhomers are planning to come over to France next year drop me a line and I can give you some good places for barbel fishing or just holidaying.
