Car boot buy

Best car boot buy I ever made was a job lot bundle of rods, cost me £2. Among the bundle was a traditional 3 section split cane Avon rod with rusty rings and covered in thick varnish. When I stripped it back I discovered a Bob South well shop label on the butt section. After refurbishment I used it for a couple of seasons before selling it on eBay, it made £170!

Agree Jon, not sure how much I would have paid Graham to have taken that reel off me.
Phil. It just reminded me of perfect Dorset fishing days. Catching Chub and Barbel on Severals and Meeting Pals on Throop.
Long forgotten days when you could drive there and in Hampshire with an average speed of more than 5 mph.
Where Speed Cameras didn't exist every mile and when roundabouts didnt have cones and roadworks going on.

Not necessarily. In general yes but could be someone selling stuff they’ve inherited and have no knowledge about.
Possibly but this day and age most items can be searched as to value. This week these car boots have been highlighted as a huge problem in fencing knock off tools, as tools and tackle are kept in sheds it seems likely a lot are stolen.

Spot on Graham, they have surpassed themselves this weekend, the gas board have had one side of the road where I live shut for 3 weeks. Yesterday they took the roadworks off as they told me it was finished. This morning took the dogs out no problem, by 15-00 the road was shut again, be interested to find out why.
Probably the best area of the country to live but the traffic is horrendous, Dorset is proud of having no motorways, in my opinion it should be ashamed.

Never found out why road was closed again as next day was re-opened, maybe a training exercise for the bollard placers!!!.
