Camo Leads!!!

Whats the cost difference between
1/ Stonze
2/ The alternatives made/shown by Keith (that do look very good)

Thank you

Graham

The 'FIMO' costs a tad over £2 per colour (I bought 3), all the leads I used were from the many old ones I had in my garage, I made about 25 leads and still have about a third of the 'FIMO' left so I reckon they work out a lot cheaper!! Even if you had to buy the leads, you only need to buy the cheap, small sea leads which cost about 30p-60p.
Anyway Graham, going to the Wye on friday for a week! Can't wait

Here's a proper grip lead, complete with its own antennas ;)

Used very succesfully in heavy flows taking numerous doubles to a little over 18lb.

You can get feeders like that as well.

The link shows some fairly fancy ones but most coastal tackle shops will have a cheaper version consisting of a gemini breakaway nose and weight with a wire cage fitted to them, I've got a couple of them in my tackle room, (that's a garage to you and a laundry room to my wife), but its too late to go looking for them now.

The barbel society banned breakaway leads on all of their waters, personally I think they would be perfect for a big flooded river with a silty bottom, i.e. the lower Severn. However; I have a good mate who seems to think they are the work of the devil so I cant see me using them........At least not while there's a chance of anyone seeing me.;)

Thanks Keith. Seems a great idea to me.

Enjoy the Wye, needs some water possibly. I have a large group (my last Guiding day as I am retiring )Saturday, Lower Severn on Sunday with some mates and then after a 30lb Wye Pike Monday!

Cheers

Graham
