Camera advice

Ian,
where have you seen an offer like that? I was looking at the G10/11s recently and couldn't find anything that keenly priced even second hand.

Constantly on e-bay Chris, normally without SD cards at that price but here is a BIN with 4Gb SD dard for £285

You should not bother with the G10 as it does not have a flip around screen, the G11 and G12 have..........(G7 to G10 did not)

canon ixus 95 is. 12 meg small and timer can be set for 30 seconds.the flash comes on and takes 3 shots.around £120 plus sd card.

Graham, I use a Canon "DIGITAL IXUS 85 IS" cost £140 a couple of years ago, 10MP, but for me the clincher was the flexibility of the self take function which lets you choose between 10 seconds delay, 1 shot, up to 30 seconds delay 3 shots 2 seconds apart which is what I use (if the fish jumps around you have 2 more chances to get it right). It is also very easy to program in the 'heat of the moment'.

I ended up getting a canon as well, got a A3000IS - 10mp for £35 refurbished on ebay. Has the custom self timer (which works with the flash) currently set to take 5 snaps with the 10 second timer. Did look at the S3/ S5s but opted for something smaller, plus I probably wouldnt have been able to use the flip screen with my eyesight anyway

Pete, fantastic bit of kit so long as you ensure you get the right size for your camera.......I have the little one for my little compact camera and the DSLR size for my S3 IS, they weight absolutely nothing, take up hardly any space and easilly attach to your chair, etc... to make a good sturdy support.

A couple of weeks ago Aldi had something like this.
