brolly or shelter

Cheers Steve. The original Fox Supa brolly (mk 1) didn't have a boss (bell cap), just a piece of material with the Fox logo on it to cover the STS mechanism. I think that this was prone to leak (although my brolly system never did). The new (mk 2) Supa brolly has 'a new improved' bell cap with an integral gasket to prevent leaks (note to self, never buy Fox mk 1 anything). I wondered if the Specialist brolly had this improvement?

Afraid not Steve. It has the standard small "skull cap" (if you like) piece of material on the top, and not the plastic boss as in the Supa brolly II.
Never had a problem with mine.

I have added a couple of extra storm caps in case it gets really windy.
I always remove the centre pole because space is limited with a 45" brolly, and you do need a low-ish chair.

Took a good while looking around before I chose a shelter. I had the same issue, some swims having flat banks and plenty of space and other having sloping banks and little space.

I eventually went of one of these.

Three years on I am still more than happy. Can be used as a brolly shelter with storm sides and no central pole or otherwise as a standard brolly or nubrolli style.
