Booked off the 16th????

Full week off for myself but like the post above i may target the silvers in the fast water.Dont fancy having a big fish go belly up on me:mad:
Quite a few nice fish where lost on the Ribble last year and it does happen even to lads that know what there doing.
 
Week off for me too! Not missed opening night for the last 10 years which is a bit odd considering i generally catch nothing but bootlace eels! :eek:
 
Will be on the Yorkshire Ouse on the 16th, with my wife and fishing mate. Booked the 16th off work, and will probably go for short evening sessions after that on either nidd or ouse locally. From past experience the first week of the season can be difficult, and the fish are usually still spawning. Just being out on the river bank will be enough for me, and any barbel will be a bonus :)
 
Best of luck Dave, my dealings with ol' mother Ouse confirms the first week can be difficult, as can the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc right up to the last week of the season!!!!! ;)
 
Ive booked a couple of days off from the 16th going down the severn for a few days:D

I'll miss opening day for the first time in over 20 years as I have unavoidable work commitments.

..but I have got three days off the following week so hopefully they won't be all full up by then.

whys the season got to start at midnight, it should be allowed at 9pm.
maybe a change.
 
Not me. June 16 th means i can start eeling a pool near to me. Less we get some nice summer floods
