Boilies or halibut Pellets

it all depends on venue and conditions mate imo. However a local river i fish i use nothing but halibut pellets mate simply because they work
 
Both have their day & a small amount of each in a pot for a session won't do any harm. Right location and with good application & there's probably not much difference other than choice of boilie. Good thing with pellets is that they keep well.
 
And Halipellets can be flavoured with (and wrapped with) anything you fancy too.
