Delkims for me too. I've had mine for the best part of 30 years and the only maintenance they've ever had is a battery change! Extremely easy to set up and use. No need for remote receiver.

Yeah I’ve seen that. You get a little knock and afew rings come from around the float and that’s it...... nothing else. Crafty bugger is sat there holding it.On Rivers so can't offer bite alarm info but often the bigger pike on the Wye will sometimes just give a minor dip of the slider float.
To be honest you would probably not even see it at distance.
Twice now as I often lift the bait a foot or so and drop it back, felt weight and thinking snag lifted to find a pike just holding the bait!
Especially so in very cold weather.
Like my barbel fishing I am ultra intense on looking for any indications, float or tip.
Never saw a touch despite being just a foot or so overdepth.
