Big Cat sightings

Yesterday while paddling down the Cetina River in Croatia, we came around a bend in the river and my other half instantly spotted it said "Lynx!". And there it was lying on a big flat rock mid-river, in an instant it slipped down off the rock and swam to the furthest bank, climbed up the bank and into the trees.

It was breathtaking and has to be the greatest encounter I've had with wildlife.

What struck me was how big and long it was. It was undoubtedly a Lynx as the ears are unmistakable.

A real fluke sighting as there are thought to be around only 40-60 of them in the whole of Croatia.

Interesting that it choose to swim to the furthest bank, perhaps it had young?
