"intelligent power" The bfw i-power is a rod designed specifically for barbel fishing and has been developed based on the gathered knowledge and experience amassed on Barbel Fishing World. It is the ultimate all season barbel rod! The bfw i-power comes complete with two tips in 1.75lb & 2lb test curves. These tips provide a complete solution to all but the most severe barbel fishing situations.​

Our objective was to design a through-action rod that can be used in both summer and winter without compromising on feel or power in either configuration. The i-power is all about having power and sensitivity in the right places. Both tips have soft tops which makes bite detection a joy in both configurations. With the heavier tip fitted the rod can cast leads of up to 6oz and cope with all but the most significant currents while at the same time retaining the sensitivity to detect shy bites as well as set the hook properly when using braided, fluro or mono line, even when fishing at distance.
	With the lighter tip fitted (rated at 1.75lb) the i-power retains a beautifully soft tip and makes a perfect summer rod for most tastes. Of course, using the same butt section means the summer configuration still has the stopping power for the biggest of Britain ’s barbel. On the standard i-power specification, you may choose what colour ID bands you have to identify the 1.75lb tip and the 2lb tip. For example on the left, this rod has two copper bands at the spiggot joint to easily identify the two tips.
