I'm assuming your talking from experience Mick?

I'm guessing you spent your hard earned cash on a couple of packets, fished them on a couple of sessions, caught nothing, and are now offering your informed opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colin,

they are actually free at the moment, via an offer in Angling Times.
Well, I say free, you have to pay the P&P.

Maybe you'd like to take up this offer, use the bait, then post your own review on BFW......

Tell you what, I'll send you a couple of free packets, just PM me your address.... I'll even pay the P&P myself....
Then we can all look forward to your review on the product......

Steve

I used to use SBS baits and found there Frankfurter flavour to be very good.

I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands Steve:D

No i dont go down the new bait path,i did once but soon learnt it was a waste of money and time and that was with teme severn, one of the barbel meetings in bham[no more sadly]t7 had a stand and i had a look what was on offer, dave mason asked what i was using and i told him i had been using jbs bio shelfish as a paste and also used jbs ala salar with meat and bfws fantastic ellips pellet,he told me and my partner that the t7 lamprey paste was 1o times better than jbs shellfish and he was serious that this would really be the bait for the pair of us=it didnt do anything other than get ignored,we soon went back to what we knew worked[and still does when we do go out which hasnt been for 2 months]

No wrong,i wouldnt waste my cash, ive plenty of jbs bioshellfish base tucked away and we have 3 pots of bfw ellips pellets glugging away.

I won some Teme-Severn Lamprey and Liver Dumbells at the BFW fish-in in July. I tried them on the Wye, alternating between them and Salmon Elips pellets (aka Salips?). I had 10 barbel during an evening session, catching on both baits, but bites came significantly quicker on the Teme Severn bait than the Elips pellets. I've not compared them to JBS, but I can confirm that on that night they worked for me, and I'll happily use them again.

But back to the SBS stix ... to be fair to Steve, he didn't say the SBS baits were a "miracle must-have" bait, he just said that he tried them a few times, caught well on them, and that they have great potential. Seems fair enough to me.

Steve

If you make it a kilo, I'll give them a go next weekend on the Lower Severn. I'm not really sure why you've put 'sarcastic' eyes in your post, as I am always objective in my opinions.

If you want a real tip top review of SBS products, throw in 20kg of mixed pellets (halibut, coarse & elips) and if they do hemp, 6 gallons please.

Steve, why are you being so abrasive towards me, all I did was point out that the baits cost was "just shy of £16 a kilo" which it is.

I second frankfurter flavour being an absolute classic for what it's worth.

Brilliant what we can argue about on here.

IMHO, Steve has given a 'First Impressions' type review, completely unbiased in its writing and has stated that he received them for free................
He obviously has no agenda here and has not touted it as a miracle bait in any shape or form.

At least he has taken the trouble to write a review and give something back to BFW in a small way.

The tone of certain replies can invoke an abraisive response and I'm sure that his comments are firmly tongue in cheek.................Sarcasm and wit are sometimes hard to convey in written form, especially when coming from a gobby brummie like Steve..................;):D Well he is you us yokels you know ! Anyone north of Gloucs and south of Manchester is a Brummie
There a simple demonstration.................:p
Please lets keep this civil gents !

So good old Des is knocking out a bait which is easier and cheaper to manufacture than round baits and is charging £3.99 for what looks like a small pack, how many grams do you get for that? :)
