Be vigilant....

Mate of mine was on the Severn over the weekend and had his cars fuel tank drilled and drained while it was parked up.

He was fishing a free stretch of the river, but needless to say, he still felt he should be able to park up and fish without fear of vandalism and theft.

Not casting any aspersions, but the only others around were some Eastern European anglers.

Sadly it's going to end up costing him around £500.... All for £70 worth of fuel....

Worth keeping your eyes peeled while you're out and about....

this has happend in our area but not to fishermen though, it tends to be later model cars with plastic fuel tanks.

Just don't go fishing near any pikey camps!!

Unfortunatly Damian pikeys have car's too. I posted this on another site.

Went to a breakdown in Sheer, very, very posh village in the Surrey Downs. No heating and no hot water. Heating powered by a utility room oil boiler. Had a butchers, the burner was locked out, pressed the reset, burner started, cut out, started, cut out and so on and farting like a barracks at first light. Told the guy he had run out of oil and he gave me a gobfull about not knowing what I was on about as he had two and a half thousand litres delivered earlier that week. May be water then said I, we went out to dip his tank and the look on his face when he walked round his little screen. The pikies had been down the track at the back of his house with a hammer to the oil line then cut it and had the lot away with a hiab. I don’t think I improved his demeanour one bit when I said “see no oil”

and trucks with hiab's as well

Yeah I know Kevin, but generally their camps are the epicentre of most of the criminal activity in an area.
There's an epidemic of it all and no one says a dicky bird!!

I hate people who call someone out and then argue with a correct diagnosis. My boss had someone take the top off his oil tank fortunately it was pretty much empty.

It is ABSOLUTELY politically incorrect to call a spade a spade in our crazy world Damian. Exercising freedom of speech...which for many years was a given...is now punishable by fines or even imprisonment. Strange how unqualified strangers in a city in a foreign land most of us have never even seen now have the power to turn our lives completely upside down and make something that was once a right into something punishable by imprisonment. Even odder when one considers that to do so is almost certainly contravening their own take on 'human rights'

Cheers, Dave.

On Saturday nights passed I had the displeasure of studying the philosophy of that much copied television host, Roy Walker.
'Say what you see, if you see it say it'!

I love it when I do a breakdown and tell them they got no oil and they say they got half a tank according to the sight guage, their face is a picture when you pull the lever out and it goes to nothing :)

There can be no argument that Islam presents the greatest threat to a peaceful Europe in our history. Not next year, I admit, but within 2-3 decades I see Enoch Powell's rivers of blood spread across an entire continent a la break up of Yugoslavia, which of course fractured along racial and religious lines.

But Islam is not our primary enemy. That label is reserved for the left liberals who got us into this catastrophic position in the first place, and who refuse to recognise the situation even now. One of Powell's most important statement is as follows: "The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils..."

Exactly so, but Cameron, the EU high command and countless politicians across Europe are actively encouraging a clear evil; one which has waged war against the Christian West almost ceaselessly for 1400 years, and now genuinely believes victory is within sight.

How I wish we were led by the Conservative realist Powell, rather than the PR spinmaster and liberal Cameron. Our children and grandchildren will suffer terrible times in the not too distant future, and the ultimate tragedy is that such an inevitably apocalyptic future was completely preventable, given the correct leadership.
Do you write for the daily mail, good lord....:(
