Be carefully

Marcus - that's good.
One of my dices with a potential watery demise was landing a cod for a mate in winter at night on a windy Chesil Beach. One second I was running up the shingle with rather a large cod on one arm, a Tilley light on the other. Next thing on my face and covered with water. Mate dragged me out, with cod and Tilley. Very scary!
Cheers
Bob

The good news is my new I power is safe Bob.
Thanks for everyone's concerns.
If anyone is willing to pass on a few tips for tutbury other than stay dry I would be most grateful as I'm struggling at the moment to christen my new rod :D

All the best
Marcus

Persevere and don't over feed, the place gets hammered and some unscrupulous bait testers have been known to fill it in when they leave to try and establish their bait. When I fish it I never put any loose feed in and I've had my fair share out.

I fell in a couple of years ago head first takes a while to get you senses adjusted and to stop panicking. Took me fully five minutes to think about climbing up the underwater tree roots. Good job I'm so physically fit.

well marcus, you were lucky, but its just a reminder that this can happen to anyone, and you were lucky the a dog walker was passing,

Glad to hear your ok Marcus.

But is there any way of telling if a bank is undercut ? Especially like Marcus says, when fishing a new stretch.
