Bay malton

I realise not all of you will have ever fished the Dane but mates and I normally travel to the Teme etc

Still trying to find a club closer to home (North West) therefore was looking at the Bay Malton Card on the Dane (Manor Farm/Cotton Farm) - they seem to have best stretches on the Dane - first year there is a £50 joining fee - question is is it worth the £100 for the first year - maybe get to fish it 6 or 7 times this year or are there better clubs/stretches. Not interested in " net busting fish" if they are there great but simply happy being out in nice surroundings - not too many on the banks - don't like to fight for pegs prefer to roam and drop in and out - with chances of 3 or 4 fish on an average/good day.

it's for this reason i have chosen the Dane over Goyt/Tame (seem to be less chance of 2 or more fish per session). Other option is Nidd/Swale but it's over an hours drive in good traffic to get there for a few hours - and some can be fished on day tickets in any event.

Any advice - PM if prefer - cheers guys.

I've Read somewhere, that Bay Malton have just took control of a popular section of the Ribble, which would give you another option from the Dane.

Thanks Guys.

Had a walk of some of the stretch yesterday - very low and clear - not many seemed to be catching but mate and I had a large number of chub and upto 10 barbel feeding..... chub in other stretches appear to be spawning still??

Moved onto another stretch to start my season - 2 barbs in approx 2 hours fishing biggest about 4 1/2 maybe little bigger.
