Bob , god knows where mine are . He suggested some bait ingediants , as i was using a very average base mix at the time , cost me a fortune :D , but its in the video , cas/lac for a while :D.

Kempy, Plummer and Hutchy were the people that persuaded me to try using boilies for barbel. Cost a fortune - kgs of 'The Meat Mix' and freezer full of ingredients. Did catch barbel on milk bait though but put it down to chance at the time. Milk with Cotswold (the original when they were in Bristol) multi fruit enhancer.
 
Interesting video Mark, and I would have to agree that Fred has indirectly shaped the way some of us barbel anglers approach our fishing.
I'm still working through my kitchen cupboard spice rack labels. I've found one label in particular the chub love when they were there in numbers. I now have flat hands as a result ;). That label goes nicely in my lasagna too.

bread paste mixed with condensed milk or honey or both, elderberries, hempseed, tares, wheat, crust, sausages, spam, kit e kat with layers mash,
hot dogs,worms , maggots,slugs (urghhh) fresh water mussells, crayfish, and for the dedicated the humble minnow, tried breeding me own maggots:eek: yeah mum got really angry about that,oh and dont forget the daltons paste or the pomenteg squeezed into a paste using hemp water from cooking,:)
