Back into Barbel fishing - few Tackle Q's

I am a fishery manager on the Colne and have barbel fished it over 40 years. I use an 11ft 1.75lb torrix if the swims are reasonably clear, a fantastic small river rod. I also use a chimera flood/snag water 11.6ft with a centrepin and heavy line for the snaggy / Carp areas and there are plenty of them. Pm me if you want any advise / help.

11 foot Torrix big Drennan net attached to Drennan specialist handle. As far as rod is concerned check out Bob the Rod at Fosters, although I think they are owned by someone else now. Bob will build you a nice rod at the best prices around. 11 ft Torrix will make a great meat trundling rod too.
