Does anyone know this stretch of water, if so could they tell me what accsess is like and how far the walk is please.?

Cheers Neil, i have seen the web site mate, but hard to tell from this what the walk is actually like.

Been fishing the KDAA opens, and its fishing quite well (in certain pegs) the lad wants to go out and fish the Severn in that sort of area (middle Severn), and was trying to suss somwhere out for tomorrow afternoon.

If your on about the stretch where you park in the country park, its not too far, but it is a steep hill, which you have to walk back up! Aside from the first few pegs, most of it is shallow and rocky.

There's better places in my opinion. Arley gives you a lot of water to go at as does Brook Section, Knowle Sands, etc. All much of a muchness around that area.

Thanks lads, Lee i wanted somwhere a bit quieter than Arley mate, and have never fished the Alverley stretch, and to be honest it must be 10 years since either the Danery, eardington or Quatt, still i supose if i walk up the medows a bit it should get qieter at Arley, do you know what time the gate gets locked at Arley?

It doesn't, most of my time spent at Arley was evenings into night, all the holiday crew have usually packed up and gone by then.

Cheers Rhys, I thought the gate to the pay and display car park got locked, I went there about two years ago one early morning and there was a small crowd waiting to get through the locked gate.

Strange, I was fishing it a hell of a lot about 2 years ago and I never found it locked, which is probably just as well!

Richard, When you reach the river from the country park it's very shallow till you get down below the Ship Inn opposite (about 15 minute walk )usually caravaners fishing the other bank, another 15 min walk should get you opposite the Stanley water starts to deepen up there but don't bother if theres a match on the Stanley.

Might as well just park at Stanley/Kinlet as the access is much better.
