B.P. line guard and Bickerdyke.

Hi all . Can anyone tell me what a B.P. line guard means and also the description of a Bickerdyke line guard and the differences?
Many thanks Vince.

A BP lineguard is like a cage that screws to the edge/lip of the reel and goes a long way around the reel.Sometimes with 4 cross bars, two at either end,6 seperate pieces of metal, where you can either fish line off the top or bottom (high quality). The Bp line guard is a one piece bent wire loop that has 2 screws connected to the back of the reel.
